Automate Discord alerts to Robinhood
Nyria lets you auto trade each Discord alert in your Robinhood account.

Setup steps
Invite the Nyria bot to a Discord server you run. Pick the alerts channel in a Nyria strategy. Then connect your Robinhood account in Nyria with your Robinhood login, an unofficial connection in beta. Each call posted there becomes an order in your own Robinhood account. Nyria connects live Robinhood accounts only, so test it free on Nyria Paper first.
- 1Connect Robinhood. Select Integrations, then the Robinhood card. Enter the username and password you use in the Robinhood app. Approve the request in the Robinhood app, or enter the 6-digit code Robinhood sends you.
- 2Link Discord. In Nyria, open Integrations and scroll to Third-party integrations. Open the Discord card and select Connect Discord. Nyria asks Discord only for your identity and server list.
- 3Invite the bot and pick the channel. Select Create strategy and pick Discord. On the Discord channel step, select Invite bot to server and authorize it. You need the Manage Server permission to invite the bot. Choose the server and the alerts channel. Set an Author or Keyword under Message filters if others post there.
- 4Check real messages. Open the Alert format card on the strategy's Integration tab. Assign a past message from the channel to each side the strategy uses. Long entry and Long exit, for example. Nyria shows the symbol, side and contract it would have traded.
- 5Deploy a bot. On the strategy, select Deploy bot. Pick the Robinhood account on the Account step and set a Budget per entry. Live bots need a Nyria Pro plan or a Premium strategy you have bought. The next alert becomes an order.
What a Discord alert must say
Nyria needs the ticker, the side, and whether it opens or closes a position. It reads plain text or JSON in your own wording. There is no template to follow. For options, Provided in alert reads the strike, expiry and call or put. From my rules picks the contract.
Write the call the way the caller already does. BTO AAPL 345c 11/20, or a plain sentence. Nyria reads one channel, from any member, bot or webhook. It ignores threads, DMs and later edits.
An alert cannot set the size: each bot's budget per entry does. Exits come from your exit alerts.
A stock entry
NVDA long here 228
Buy NVDA. With the limit set to Alert price, the order goes out at 228. With Bid, Ask or Mid, Nyria prices it from the live quote.
An exit, written as a sentence
Taking profits on NVDA here
Close the open NVDA position, matched against what the bot is holding.
What Robinhood does with it
Nyria's Robinhood connection is unofficial. It signs in with your Robinhood login. The password is used once and discarded, and the tokens Robinhood issues are stored encrypted at rest. If Robinhood ends the session, Nyria asks for a new sign-in. Unofficial connection. Nyria isn't affiliated with Robinhood.
Options go to Robinhood as single legs or spreads up to 4 legs in one order. Options trading must be turned on in the Robinhood account.
A crypto alert places no order on this connection. Use Alpaca or Nyria Paper for crypto.
Each alert becomes a market or a limit order, as the strategy sets it. Nyria sends a market order to Robinhood as a limit order priced from the live quote. Nothing waits at Robinhood between alerts. The exit comes from your alert.
Questions
- Does Nyria read every message in the server?
- No. Only the channel you pick, and only the author or keyword you filter on. Replies and questions from everyone else place nothing. Messages elsewhere in the server are ignored.
- Does Nyria hold my Robinhood password?
- No. The password is used once to sign in and is then discarded. The tokens Robinhood issues are stored encrypted at rest.
- Can I test before trading real money at Robinhood?
- Nyria connects live Robinhood accounts only, so run the strategy on Nyria Paper first. When the log reads the way you expect, deploy a second bot on the Robinhood account.
- How fast does an alert become an order?
- Sub-second, alert to order.
