How to automate Telegram alerts, step by step
Nyria's bot joins a Telegram group or channel you run as an admin that only reads. A call posted there, in the poster's own words, becomes an order in your broker account. This guide goes from the invite to a live bot.
What you need
- A Nyria account with at least one connected broker.
- Ownership of the group or channel, or admin rights there with the right to add admins.
- The group or channel in that chat you want Nyria to read.
Step by step
- 1
Connect Telegram and add the bot
In a new strategy pick Telegram and select Connect Telegram. Press Start in the chat with @NyriaAlertsBot, then tap Link in its reply. Add Nyria to the group or channel as an admin; it asks for one right, manage chat, and only reads, never posts.
- 2
Create the strategy and pick the chat
Pick Telegram as the alert source and choose the group or channel. A channel's discussion group mirrors its posts, so point the strategy at the channel or its discussion group, never both, or one alert trades twice.
- 3
Narrow it with an author or keyword filter
Add an author filter to match part of the poster's display name, case-insensitive, so the strategy only acts on the caller who posts the calls. Add a keyword filter to match text anywhere in the message, case-insensitive, for a chat where alerts share space with other talk.
- 4
Validate with the message preview
Assign a real message to Long entry, Long exit, Short entry or Short exit, and Nyria shows what it parsed: the symbol, the side and, for options, the contract. The strategy stays inactive until it reads one correctly.
- 5
Test on paper
Deploy a bot on Nyria Paper first and let a real call fire. Check the order against the message on the bot's Logs tab.
- 6
Go live
When the paper orders match what you expect, deploy a second bot on your broker account. Start with a small budget per entry.
What a message can say
Nyria reads a call the way the poster already writes it, plain sentence or structured notation.
A plain sentence

Structured notation

The size comes from the bot: each bot sizes every order from its own budget per entry, not from the message.
What Nyria reads out of a message
- Nyria reads only the chat you picked, and only the author or keyword you filter on if you set one.
- An edited message places no order. Post a new one instead.
- An alert that reaches Nyria more than a minute after it was posted, or after a newer one, places no new entry. A close in it still runs, and the strategy log says why.
- Messages other bots post in the same group are not read.

Questions
- Does Nyria post in the chat?
- No. Nyria joins as an admin with one right, manage chat, and only reads. It checks the chat when you save or re-activate the strategy and at least daily, and stops reading if it is removed.
- What's the difference between a group and a channel?
- A channel's discussion group mirrors its posts, so the same alert can show up in both. Point the strategy at the channel or its discussion group, never both.
- Do I need to own the chat?
- You need to be its owner, or an admin who can add admins. A chat you merely follow is not a source.
- What if a message is edited or arrives late?
- An edited message places no order; post a new one instead. An alert that reaches Nyria more than a minute after it was posted, or after a newer one, places no new entry. A close in it still runs, and the strategy log says why.
- What does it cost?
- Paper trading is free with no time limit, up to 10 paper bots. Live trading is $100 a month per $10,000 of total entry allocation, with no per-bot fees.
