Auto-trade NVDA and single-stock option alerts
Single-stock option rooms post the same shape all day: ticker, strike, call or put, date, price. Nyria reads that line as the room writes it, sizes it from the Budget per entry, and places the order at Charles Schwab, Tradier, tastytrade or Alpaca. This guide uses NVDA and covers TSLA, AAPL and every other listed name the same way.
What you need
- A Nyria account with a connected broker: Charles Schwab, Tradier, tastytrade or Alpaca. All four trade single-stock options, single legs and spreads up to 4 legs.
- An alert source that posts the call: a Discord server you run, a Telegram group or channel you run, or a TradingView alert with a webhook.
- A budget per entry that covers one contract. An NVDA weekly a few dollars out of the money runs a few hundred dollars a contract; TSLA runs higher.
Step by step
- 1
Connect a broker
Open Integrations and sign in at Charles Schwab, Tradier or tastytrade, or paste an Alpaca API key. Nyria Paper is already there, so the strategy can run before any broker is connected.
- 2
Create the strategy and pick the source
Create a strategy that trades options and pick Discord, Telegram or TradingView as the alert source. Add the tickers it may trade; a call for a ticker outside that list is refused with the ticker named, not placed.
- 3
Tell it what an alert means
Most stock-option rooms post the contract in full: ticker, strike, call or put, and a date. Nyria reads those as written, at any listed expiration. A call that names only the ticker and the side uses the strategy's own rules, an expiration 0 to 31 trading days out and a strike picked by delta or by distance from the price.
- 4
Check the format
Paste a real call from the channel, select Check format, then Check and save. Nyria shows the ticker, strike, expiry and side it found. The strategy turns Active when every side passes.
- 5
Test on paper
On the strategy, select Deploy bot. If the switch at the top says Live, select Paper. Set the Budget per entry, select Next, then Deploy on Nyria Paper. Let the room's calls fire for a week and read each fill on the bot's Logs tab next to the alert that caused it.
- 6
Go live
Deploy a second bot on the broker account with the same sizing. The exit matches the entry leg for leg: a sell alert for the same contract closes what the buy alert opened, and a spread closes as one order.
What an NVDA alert looks like
Three shapes Nyria reads as written. The contract is the same in each.
Discord, as the room posts it
BTO NVDA 230c 11/20 @ 6.40
Telegram, with a note Nyria reads past
NVDA 230c 11/20 lotto, in at 6.40, stop 5.00
TradingView, as JSON
{ "ticker": "NVDA", "action": "BTO", "strike": 230, "expiry": "2026-11-20", "type": "call" }What the bot does with it
- Reads the ticker, the strike, the side and the date. 11/20 is Friday Nov 20, 2026, a listed NVDA expiration, so the order goes to that contract. The stop in the Telegram line is read as a note, not placed: nothing waits at the broker between alerts.
- Sizes the order from the Budget per entry. At $6.40 a contract, a $2,000 budget per entry buys 3 contracts, since one contract is 100 shares and the bot never rounds up.
- Places a market order, or a limit order at the price the alert names if the strategy is set to limit. The fill, the price and the order id land on the Logs tab.
- Closes on the exit alert. STC NVDA 230c, or a plain sell with no contract, closes the open position in that contract. A trim alert with a count sells that many; the rest stays open.
- Holds through earnings, splits and halts the way the broker does. Nyria never closes a position on its own; the next alert is the next move.
When the bot places nothing
Each refusal is written to the Logs tab in these words, next to the alert that caused it. Nothing is ordered on any of them.
The option chain has no delta for the strikes in the strategy's range, so a delta target cannot be met. This happens on thin weeklies and on names with a halted underlying.
Nyria skipped this entry. The options data has no delta for the contracts in your range, so it can't pick the delta your strategy asks for. Nothing was ordered.
The nearest contract sits more than 0.25 delta from the target. A $5-wide chain after a 10% gap can do this.
Nyria skipped this entry. Your strategy asks for a 0.30 delta and the closest available is 0.62, too far to stand in for it. Nothing was ordered.
The contract the strategy picked has no live bid and ask.
Nyria skipped this entry. No live quote was available for the option your strategy picked. Nothing was ordered.
The call arrives before 9:30 am ET, after 4 pm ET, or on a market holiday. A pre-market call is not queued for the open.
Options market is closed
One contract costs more than the Budget per entry.
One NVDA contract costs $640, more than this bot's $500 budget per entry. Raise it to at least $640.
Questions
- Which brokers trade NVDA options?
- Charles Schwab, Tradier, tastytrade and Alpaca, single legs and spreads up to 4 legs on one expiration. Alpaca needs options approval on the account first.
- What if the room posts a contract Nyria cannot find?
- A strike or expiration that is not listed is refused with the reason on the Logs tab, and nothing is ordered. Check the date first; a Thursday date on a weekly chain is the usual cause.
- Can the strategy pick the strike itself?
- Yes. Leave the strike out of the alert and the strategy's rules pick it, by delta or by distance from the price, with an expiration 0 to 31 trading days out.
- Does a stop in the alert become a stop order?
- No. Nyria reads the entry and the exit from the alerts and places nothing in between. If the room posts a stop-out, that message is the exit alert.
- What does it cost?
- Paper is free. Live trading from $15 a month.
