Use TradingView placeholders

{{ticker}} and {{close}} work on indicator and strategy alerts. {{strategy.order.action}}, {{strategy.order.contracts}} and the other {{strategy.*}} values exist only on a strategy() alert.

Size is not part of the message. Each bot sizes its own orders, and Nyria ignores a quantity or amount in an alert.

Plain text message

SPY long entry

JSON message

{
  "ticker": "SPY",
  "action": "OPEN",
  "direction": "LONG",
  "order_type": "market"
}

Webhook URL

https://trades.nyria.io/webhooks/<your-strategy-token>

Paste your own URL in TradingView's Webhook URL box. It is on the strategy's Integration tab in Nyria, and its token is private.

Questions

What do I put in TradingView's alert message box?
Paste the plain text or the JSON from this page into the Message box of the alert, and your Nyria webhook URL into the Webhook URL box under Notifications. Each message names a ticker, an action (open or close) and a direction (long or short). The size comes from the bot, not from the message.
Do placeholders work on indicator and strategy alerts?
{{ticker}}, {{close}}, {{interval}} and {{time}} work on both. The {{strategy.*}} placeholders, such as {{strategy.order.action}} and {{strategy.order.contracts}}, exist only on a strategy() script's alert. An indicator() has none, so write one alert per side with the action and direction typed out. TradingView fills in only its own placeholders: a Pine variable such as {{syminfo.ticker}} reaches Nyria exactly as typed, and nothing trades.
Where does the webhook URL come from?
Each Nyria strategy has its own URL, ending in a private token. Copy it from the strategy's Integration tab in the app. Anyone with the URL can send alerts to the strategy, so keep it private. Rotate token on the same tab replaces it.
What happens if Nyria cannot read my message?
The webhook answers 422 with a reason, such as a missing field, unreadable text, an unknown symbol or no matching strike, and the strategy's Logs tab records it. Nothing is ordered. The check on this page shows the same refusal before you set up the alert, so fix the message there first.
